Brazil reports 1,099 new deaths from COVID-19

The number of confirmed cases has reached 9,119,477 in the country, an increase of 58,691 cases in the last 24 hours, according to the country’s Health Ministry.

Brazil is the third-hardest hit by the virus worldwide after the United States and India.

1,099 more people have died from coronavirus over the past 24 hours, bringing the country’s death toll from the virus to 222,775.

More than 7,960,643 patients suffering from coronavirus have fully recovered and been discharged from hospitals in the country.

Sao Paulo, the country’s most populated state, continues to be the epicenter of the coronavirus pandemic in Brazil.

The state has so far reported more than 1,76 million confirmed coronavirus cases, with at least 52,722 deaths.
