Chaos in Armenia: Army wanted Pashinyan to step down

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan described the move as a coup and urged his supports take to the streets.

40 high-ranking military personnel, including the head of the General Staff Onik Gasparyan, signed a demand for Armenia Prime Minister Pashinyan's resignation.

Pashinyan described the move as a coup and urged his supports to take to the streets.

“This is a military coup. My supporters should take to the streets,” Pashinyan said.

Pashinyan dismissed the Head of the General Staff of the Armenian Armed Forces Onik Gasparyan, who demanded the resignation of the government.
