Death toll reaches 530 in the earthquake

It was reported that the number of those who lost their lives in the earthquake that hit on Iraq-Iran border on Sunday, rose to 530.

The 7.3 magnitude earthquake hit on Iraq-Iran border, 32 kilometers south-west of Halabja, killed 530 people so far. It was also reported that 7 thousand 500 people wounded.

Most of those who lost their lives were in Serpol Zahap, 85 thousand population, in Kermanshah and 8 people lost their lives in Derbendihan and Germiyan districts, which 321 people were wounded.

Tens of thousands people of eastern Kurdistan, after the earthquake and more than 100 aftershocks, spent their second night in the street.

Authorities stated that the death toll may increase by the removal of debris. Villagers in the villages those are hard to reach have buries about 150 people said Kermanshah Forensic Medicine Office Muhammad Ali Monshizade.

On the other hand Germiyan Meteorology and Earthquake Center, has announced that this evening from 19.00 to 20.00 hours, 17 aftershocks were more experienced.
