Decision of Supreme Electoral Council changed some mayors

The Supreme Election Board decided that newly elected mayors who had dismissed with the decree should not be allowed to take office.

Supreme Election Board announced that it will give "certificate of election" to the second candidate who won the most votes in the elections.

This decision of the Turkish Supreme Electoral Board has changed some municipal mayors in Turkiye.

It was learned that the Supreme Election Board issued this decision for the districts of Van such as Tuşba, Edremit, and Çaldıran also Diyarbakır's Bağlar district.
