The decision was made in the case of 47 convicted prisoners who were in an assassination attempt against President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan during the coup attempt which 2 police lost their lives in the conflict.
According to this, 31 suspects were sentenced to life imprisonment aggravated 4 times. Former Colonel Hüseyin Yılmaz acquitted, while Fethullah Gülen, Burkay Karatepe, Özcan Karacan files were separated.
Former Brigadier General Gökhan Sönmezateş among the names in the field of aggravated life imprisonment. Ali Yazıcı, Erdoğan’s former military aide, was sentenced to 18 years in prison in this case.
