Dozens dead and injured in Afghanistan blast

The death toll from the blast in Kabul, the capital of Afghanistan, is increasing. Dozens reported dead and injured.

So far, 63 people have been killed and 182 injured in the blast.

At least 63 people were killed and 182 wounded in the attack on a wedding hall in Kabul's 6th security region, according to reports.

Women and children were among the casualties, said Nasrat Rahimi, a spokesman for the interior ministry.

"Devastated by the news of a suicide attack inside a wedding hall in Kabul. A heinous crime against our people; how is it possible to train a human and ask him to go and blow himself inside a wedding?!! Why this enmity against innocent Afghans!!!" asked Afghanistan presidential spokesperson Sediq Sediqqi.

"The world community must unify with the Afghans in condemning last night barbaric, inhumane, and a terrorist attack in a wedding hall that resulted in the killing of so many civilians, including children," Sediqqi said in another Twit.

The attack in the western part of the capital Kabul was the bloodiest attack in Afghanistan since early this year.

The Taliban also issued a statement condemning the attack.
