Earthquake in the Aegean Sea

An earthquake of magnitude 4.8 hit in the Aegean Sea.

According to the Richter scale, an earthquake of 4.8 magnitudes occurred in Turkiye's İzmir Gulf.

Bogazici University Kandilli Observatory Earthquake Research Institute reported that the earthquake took place at a depth of 16.98 kilometers at 08.13 local times.

The earthquake took place between Foça and Karaburun.

The earthquake was felt in the İzmir, Manisa and surrounding provinces.

There was no loss of life or property in the earthquake.

The earthquake occurred several times during the summer season in İzmir.
