Erdoğan calls Chad's new leader to extend his condolences

Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan called Transitional Military Council Chairman Mahamat Idriss Deby Itno of Chad to extend his condolences over the passing of his father, President Idriss Deby Itno of Chad.

During the conversation, Erdoğan expressed his deep sorrow for the passing of President Itno of Chad and extended his condolences to his family and the people of Chad, according to Turkish presidency.

Erdoğan emphasized the late Itno's contribution to establishing fraternity and friendship relation between Turkey and Chad, noting that Turkey will continue to stand by the people of Chad in this difficult time, as it has always done.
