Erdoğan, President Mahmoud Abbas of Palestine talk over phone

Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan held a phone conversation with President Mahmoud Abbas of Palestine on Sunday.

Erdoğan discussed in a phone call today with his Palestinian counterpart Mahmoud Abbas the latest developments in the region, on top of which is zionist occupation regime’s plan to illegally annex the occupied West Bank to its sovereignty.

Abbas expressed his thanks to the Turkish leader for his country’s support of the Palestinian people and their just cause and its rejection of the zionist colonial annexation plan, according Palestine’s Presidential Office.

On his part, the Turkish President Erdoğan affirmed his country's support of the Palestinians and their right to freedom, independence and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state on its national soil.
