Erdoğan vows to make Turkey one of the 10 largest economies in the world

Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan delivered remarks at an opening ceremony in Çanakkale on Saturday.

Underscoring that no one would be able to stop the building of a great and powerful Turkey, Erdoğan said: “Just as we have carried out hundreds of projects in our country, we will complete the 1915 Çanakkale Bridge, as well. We will put the natural gas in the Black Sea into service of our nation. We will fully protect our interests in the Mediterranean and the Aegean. We will build the Canal Istanbul. We will unite the security lines we established across our border.”

Erdoğan continued his remarks as follows: “We will continue to be the voice of the oppressed in our region and the world. We will foil the traps laid ahead of us one by one and become one of the 10 largest economies in the world. In every area of the defense industry, we will completely save ourselves and our friends from external dependency. We will continue to work in every field to strengthen our nation and state, and to achieve our country’s goals.”
