European Union pledges 300 million euros in aid for Afghanistan

European Union Chief Ursula von der Leyen said Wednesday that the bloc had allocated €300 million for humanitarian aid in Afghanistan.

“We stand by the people of Afghanistan. Today’s EU humanitarian flight to Kabul brought critical aid. More will come. The EU is making available €300 million in humanitarian assistance for Afghanistan,” von der Leyen tweeted.
