European Union’s Digital COVID Certificate becomes available in member states

The European Union’s Digital COVID Certificate became available in all EU Member States starting from tomorrow, July 1, 2021.

The majority of the EU Member States have already effectively connected to the EU gateway for the verification of these documents and are issuing and/or verifying at least one vaccination passport, recovery certificate, or certificate of COVID-19 negative test results.

The first countries to start issuing and verifying such documents were Bulgaria, Czechia, Denmark, Germany, Greece, Croatia, and Poland, which connected to the EU gateway on June 1, one month ahead of the deadline.

Since then, the Member States have gradually completed the testing phase, have gotten technically ready to connect to the EUDCC gateway, and have effectively connected, issuing and verifying vaccination certificates, as well as recovery and negative result certificates.
