Explanation of Erdoğan-Trump meeting from the Presidency

The presidency announced that the Qatar crisis was being tackled by a telephone conversation between President Erdoğan and US President Trump.

The Presidential Press Center made an explanation on the phone call between President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and US President Donald Trump.

In the explanations, it was stated that bilateral relations in the field of defense industry and economy, especially the Qatar crisis, were discussed.

In the interview, it was emphasized that the tension between the countries of the Gulf should be reduced as soon as possible and that the solution of the problems was also important in terms of security and stability of the region.

President Erdogan pointed out the importance of opposing PKK, FETO and DAESH in the interview.

It was noted that Erdoğan and Trump agreed on the further strengthening of the business association in the fight terrorism and the prevention of terrorism financing.
