Face recognition technology spreads rapidly in the world

Facial recognition programs, which are claimed to be reliable and fast by many state and private companies around the world, are spreading rapidly.

Many state and private companies around the world use face recognition programs, saying they are reliable and fast.

Some researchers say that face recognition is a fast and reliable tool in areas such as keeping cards and passwords secret, capturing criminals, and controlling entry and exit into the country.

For some, it means that privacy is gone.

Face recognition technology is used in many countries, especially for security and entertainment purposes.

Used everywhere in China

In China, first, face-to-face recognition technologies were introduced in municipalities. The Chinese can get on the metro in this way. Some fast food restaurants scan customers' faces for the next orders.

The country has about 170 million security cameras with face recognition and is expected to add 400 million new cameras.

It is spreading the world rapidly

Following China, the countries that implement facial recognition systems the most in the state, in municipal and private sectors come as Singapore, Malaysia and the United Arab Emirates [UAE] respectively.

For example, in Singapore, 100,000 traffic light lamps have cameras that detect people's faces on the street.

San Francisco banned the use of facial recognition technology

In the United States, the city of San Francisco was the first city to ban the police and other municipalities from identifying citizens with face recognition technology.

Together with the regulation, the police and other municipal institutions were allowed only with the permission of the court to use the equipment to identify citizens with face recognition technology and to create databases containing such information.
