Floods paralyze Turkiye city of Bodrum

Streets turned into a flowing stream because of the flood that triggered by torrential rains in Bodrum district of Muğla, west of Turkiye. Many houses and shops reportedly flooded.

Flash floods triggered by heavy rains swept through Bodrum on Thursday, leaving many houses and shops under the water while the streets of Bodrum turned into a flowing stream.

Citizens record those moments with their mobile phones while the flood dragged vehicles in the park.

Bodrum District Governor Bekir Yılmaz warned citizens with a written statement because of the flood.

"As of now, there is no loss of life, injury, missing or stranded due to flooding," Yılmaz said.  

Asking citizens to be careful about the electric shocks especially, stay away from transformer and power distribution boxes, Yılmaz warned that citizens to follow the meteorological announcements carefully.
