Former Muslim Brotherhood leader Mahdi Akef passed away

The former leader of the Muslim Brotherhood Muhammad Mahdi Akef who was detained, passed away.

The former leader of the Muslim Brotherhood [Ihwan], Muhammad Mahdi Akef, lost his life in the hospital where he was removed due to health problems in Egypt.

Akef, aged 89, was taken to hospital from prison after worsening of his health condition said that he lost his life in the evening hours.

The former leader of the Muslim Brotherhood Organization, Muhammad Mahdi Akef, was arrested after the coup in 2013 in Egypt. He spent 20 years of his life in prisons.
