Gaza protests will continue until the siege is lifted: Haniyeh

Head of Hamas's Political Bureau Ismail Haniyeh on Wednesday said that the Great March of Return will continue until the blockade imposed on the Gaza Strip for over 12 years is lifted.

During the funeral of the Palestinian martyr Ahmad Omar in al-Shati refugee camp in Gaza, Haniyeh said Palestinians are facing unprecedented conspiracies, including the Deal of the Century, which is aimed at liquidating the Palestinian refugees' issue.

Hamas leader stressed that Palestinians in Gaza have decided to continue their protests until the zionist blockade is broken.

He expressed his rejection of the US recent attempts to re-define the term "Palestinian refugees" to reduce their number of 6 million to 500,000, affirming that the right of return is sacred and non-negotiable.

Ahmad Omar, 20, was martyred when the zionist gang violently quelled a peaceful protest calling for protecting the rights of Palestinian refugees north of Gaza on Tuesday.
