Global coronavirus death toll exceeds 4,7 million

More than 229 million people have so far tested positive for coronavirus around the world.

The coronavirus outbreak, which was first identified in Wuhan, China, and declared a pandemic by the World Health Organization on March 11, 2020, is continuing to claim the lives of thousands of people across the world.

The United States, the current epicenter of the pandemic, has the highest number of coronavirus-related fatalities, with 691,562 deaths, followed by Brazil with 590,547 deaths, India with 444,869, and Mexico with 271,303 deaths.

Over 205,5 million patients suffering from the disease have so far recovered and been discharged from hospitals worldwide.
