Customs and Trade Minister Bülent Tüfenkçi who participated to the Bingöl National Women Entrepreneurship Congress in Bingöl, spoke to press after the congress.
Tüfenkçi, who was in assessment related to the day after the referendum held in the Iraqi Kurdistan Region said Habur Border Gate can be closed at any moment.
Tüfenkçi said, “The Habur Border Gate, is open now. But we see entry and exit decreased too much compared to the previous days. Closure of border gate in the coming days is also on the agenda. Like our President said, it can be closed in anytime. We expect some developments there. According to the result of the developments, there are some measures and sanctions, such as closing our border door and closing the oil valve with other measures, and of course we believe that the referendum in Northern Iraq is illegitimate.”
Tüfenkçi stated that they have taken three-stage precautions which will be implemented when their times comes, said: “Despite the objections of the whole international community, Barzani government steps that have taken on this point, are not favor in our Kurds brothers. There will be some difficulties.”
