Hamas and Islamic Jihad leaders discuss resistance project

Yahya as-Sinwar, the leader of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) in the Gaza Strip, said Hamas and Islamic Jihad leaders had recently met to discuss the Resistance Project, The Return and liberation plans.

Hamas chief in Gaza Yahya as-Sinwar said Wednesday that an important meeting took place recently between top political and military officials from his Movement and Islamic Jihad.

In remarks during an Eid visit to a family in Rafah, Sinwar said that the two sides discussed the resistance project and plan to liberate the Palestinian land.

He stressed that his Movement and other resistance factions would continue to make preparations and accumulate strength to fulfill the project of liberation and return.

"A few days ago, we were at a high-level meeting that included people from the political leadership of Hamas and Islamic Jihad in the presence of commanders from al-Qassam Brigades and al-Quds Brigades," the Hamas chief said.

He affirmed that the meeting lasted for about six hours and the attendees discussed several mechanisms to confront occupying zionist's aggression and achieve the Palestinian people’s aspirations for liberation and return.
