In a statement, HAMAS Spokesperson Hazem Qasim slammed the US move as an “aggression on our people’s rights and reflects an appalling American arrogance and rudeness.”
“This decision is considered the largest forgery committed by the US Secretary of State, who is very hostile to our Palestinian people and their rights,” he added.
Qasim pointed out that the step constituted a stark violation of all international laws, resolutions and norms.
The US decision confirms that the challenges facing the Palestinian cause are growing, Qasim added, calling for a “unified Palestinian position in confront it.”
