Hundreds of high school students have been detained

French police detained more than 700 high school students during the demonstrations.

There is the concern in France that the protests in the capital, Paris, will rise again on Saturday. Intelligence units warned that some demonstrators would come to the capital to "smash and kill".

Prime Minister Edouard Philippe announced that at least 65,000 security members would serve to calm a possible new wave during the weekend.

On the other hand, more than 700 high school students were detained on the grounds that they disrupted the education in the protests. Thousands of high school and junior high school students are also reported to participate in protests due to the fear of lowering the entrance criteria for universities and reducing the number of teachers.

As a result of the anti-fuel tax hike protest in France for several weeks, President Emmanuel Macron announced that the hike was withdrawn. It was announced that the hikes would not be included in the 2019 budget.

Four people were killed so far and more than 200 were injured in the protests that began on November 17. The protests had caused millions of euros in property damage.
