Hüseyin Akbalık passed away

Hüseyin Akbalık, who had been kept in prison for 24 years because of his Islamic identity and who continued to be treated outside after brain tumor surgery, passed away.

Hüseyin Akbalık, who had been kept in prison for 24 years due to his Islamic identity and continued to be treated outside after his brain tumor surgery, passed away this morning at his home in the village of Duruca in Nusaybin district of Mardin.

Hussein Akbalık after being detained in Mardin's Nusaybin district, he was imposed severe tortures and was sentenced to 24 years to life imprisonment for his Islamic identity with false accuses. He was released for a period of 3 months after his brain tumor surgery.

After having treated for a while in Istanbul he has returned to Nusaybin, Akbalık was taken to Mardin State Hospital a few days ago on a sudden illness and was taken under intensive care. Akbalık was then taken to Malatya.

After treatment in Malatya, Akbalık was brought to the village by his family where they live. Early hours of this morning he was passed away.
