US-led coalition spokesman Colonel Ryan Dillon stated before that there is a ceasefire between Peshmerga and Iraqi forces but took a step back and said that he incorrectly said that there was a ceasefire.
"This truce was made on what basis? Is it temporary or permanent?" asked before to Ryan Dillion, he gave the following answer:
What we know is that there is a ceasefire. We certainly want that to extend, to not be just a ceasefire for a short period of time, but that it extends and there is no more fighting. So we are encouraging is dialogue, and to trying to get the right people through our contacts from both Peshmerga and the Iraqi security forces. So that something could be worked out diplomatically, and through dialogue, as opposed through fighting."
"I incorrectly said in interview today there was a "ceasefire" between Iraqi and Kurdish forces. Both parties talking with one another, but not an official “ceasefire.” Coalition encouraging dialogue without further conflict," later said Ryan Dillion on his official twitter account.
