Iraqi PM Kadhimi arrives in Tehran

Iraq’s Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kadhimi arrived early Sunday morning in Tehran, the capital of Iran, where he met with Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi.

Ebrahim Raisi formally welcomed the Prime Minister of Iraq, Mustafa al-Kadhimi at the Summit Hall.

At the official welcoming ceremony, after the national anthems of the two countries were played, Raisi and Al-Kadhimi reviewed the honor guards and then introduced the high-ranking delegations to each other, according to a statement released by the Iranian presidency.

Immediately after the official welcoming ceremony, bilateral talks between Raisi and Kadhimi Iraq began.

The development and strengthening of bilateral cooperation in various political, economic, and cultural fields and reviewing and exchange of views on the most important regional and international issues are among the most important topics of discussion between the high-ranking delegations of the two countries.
