KDP and PUK buildings were set on fire in Iraqi Kurdistan

Teachers who did not get their salary, organized protest in Iraqi Kurdistan Region in Sulaimani and Halabja cities and buildings of KDP, PUK, and Yekgirtu parties were set on fire.

Some groups protesting the actions of the Barzani Government in the city of Sulaimani in the Iraqi Kurdistan Region set fire to the buildings of the KDP [Kurdistan Democrat Party], PUK [Patriotic Union of Kurdistan] and Yekgirtu [Kurdistan Islamic Movement] parties. On the other hand, some teachers acted because of the problems experienced in salary payments.

In Sulaimani, some groups who came out to protest the practices of the government walked to the KDP office. KRG law enforcement officers used pepper gas and opened fire on the air to disperse the crowd.

Some people reportedly set fire the building of KDP, PUK, Yekgirtu and Kurdistan Islamic Society Movement (Komel) parties.
