Leopard in Diyarbakır photographed for the first time

Villagers photographed the leopard for the first time, which her 3 cups were seen before in the rural countryside of Diyarbakır's Çınar district.

The leopard herself was videoed for the first time by villagers in the rural area of Karabudak village [Sipyag in Kurdish] located 20 kilometers away from Çınar district.

Leopard's cups sleeping in greens were also seen by villagers a week ago.

In the images taken with a cell phone camera that ILKHA has reached, the leopard is running away and rapidly disappearing.

Residents of the village are afraid that leopard will harm them and their animals.

"The leopard suddenly appears in front of my brother when he was pasturing lambs at the location where I have seen the cups before," said Abdulkadir Kızıltoprak.

"When my brother sees the leopard, he makes a noise and scares her. My brother videoing her when the leopard runs away," Abdulkadir Kızıltoprak added.

Saying that they have notified the Nature Conservation Agency, Kızıltıoprak noted that the agency has not found anything yet. "She usually was seen in the morning."

Citizens who reside in the vicinity are anxious to see the leopard in the countryside known as one of the wild animals of African countries.

Villagers have a demand from the Directorate of Nature Conservation National Parks of the Ministry of Forestry and Water Affairs to capture the leopard and taken a safer place.
