Magnitude-7.3 offshore earthquake occurs in Fiji

A powerful 7.3 magnitude offshore earthquake hits southwest of Nadi at around 18:29 o’clock on Saturday.

The tremor occurred at a depth of about 535 km (332 miles), and shaking was felt in the southern parts of Vanuatu and Fiji.

There have been no initial reports of damage or casualties as a result of the earthquake.
