Organized by İskenderun Knowledge Culture Assistance and Solidarity Association (ILIM DER) while the glory of the martyrdom authority was explained in the activity of "Martyrdom Night", the martyrs of the Islam were commemorated.
The event, which took place in İskenderun Culture Center, started with the recitation of the Holy Qur'an. Afterwards, Iskenderun Asım DER President Halil Mardin, who made a short greeting speech, emphasized that the martyrdom rank is a fruitful of act more than the word.
Mardin said that Muslim martyrs were not dead and they were giveth on the floor of Allah. Mardin said that every Muslim should desire a martyrdom and that they organize the activity of "Martyrdom Night" with such a consciousness as İLİM DER.
Dogruhaber Newspaper Editor-in-Chief Mehmed Göktaş, who participated as a speaker on the night, started by commemorated of the leader of Islam and martyrs.
In the Qur'an, Goktas pointed out that Yahya was a martyr who was well-known, and he told the struggle and salutation of Prophet Yahya. Göktaş also expressed the struggles and martyrdom of the leaders of today's martyrs such as Sheikh Ahmed Yasin and Abdulaziz Rantisi, underlining the need to give life in such honorable death.
Göktaş congratulated the martyrs of Yasin Börü and his friends who were martyred while sacrificing meat to the poor in Diyarbakır during the events of October 6-8, and stated that Allah is Glorious and will pay them back, believed Allah would surely take the revenge of these young people.
Göktaş also explains how Islamic jihad and martyrdom must be understood, "One of the most important characteristics of the Prophet (PBUH) was that he was very merciful to his companions and his ummah. Look at the history of Islam, the greatest civilization of the world has established in 23 years. A religion was brought, a state was established which challenged with 2 empires. They conquers the whole of the Arabian Peninsula. The number of martyrs and unbelievers, including the dead, does not exceed 700. This is the victory of the Prophet. He was so merciful to his companions and people."
Emphasizing that blood of Muslims to Muslims is forbidden, Göktaş said that such a corruption environment will only come to the disbelievers and will please them.
Göktaş stated that the scholars should also be the leaders of the martyrs at the same time, "Scholars must be in this work. Do not die in the way where scholars are not in.” (ILKHA)
