Masoud Barzani votes

Iraqi Kurdistan Region President Masoud Barzani has used his vote for the independence referendum in Saladin town in Erbil.

Iraq independence referendum is being held in the Iraqi Kurdistan Region, which has been on the top of the world’s agenda for days. Voting process began as of 08:00 am local time in Erbil [Hewlêr].

Iraqi Kurdistan Region President Masoud Barzani used his vote at numbered two voting centers in Saladin [Pirmam] town which 30 kilometers far from Erbil.

Barzani left without any explanation after the vote.

After father Barzani, son Mesrur Barzani, the security and intelligence officer in the Kurdistan region, used his vote in the same ballot box. Mesrur Barzani also left without any explanation after voting

The independence referendum is closely followed by observers and expert delegations from 136 international organizations. In addition, the referendum is followed by 143 media organizations, including the world's largest agencies. Most press organizations have live broadcasts.
