Issuing statement after the US President Donald Trump declared Jerusalem as capital for the occupying regime, International Union of Muslim Scholars described the decision as "a provocative step to transform the region into hell".
In the statement which all Arab and Muslim countries were invited to reject the decision, said: "This decision will encourage Palestinian and all Muslims to defend their rights and holy cities with their existing powers. As Muslim scholars, it is important to raise public awareness of the danger of the US decision. We invite for mass actions to be held on every Friday for Jerusalem. We urge Muslims and the Arabs to initiate mass actions against the decision of the United States that took against the Muslims’ first qibla”
