Massive protests in response to the killing of George Floyd continues in US

Thousands of people are in the streets to protest the killing of George Floyd, an unarmed black man, in the United States.

About 40 people were detained during the protest in New York after the death of Black George Floyd in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Protesters set fire to a Minneapolis police station that the department was forced to abandon over the death of George Floyd, a handcuffed black man who pleaded for air as a white police officer didn’t hesitate to crush his windpipe with his knee, suffocating him to death.

During the incident, George Floyd can be heard repeatedly saying “I can't breathe.”

Protesters marched and chanted “I can't breathe!” and “Black lives matter” across the United States on Thursday to protest the death of George Floyd.

“It is OUTRAGEOUS that the four Minneapolis Police officers who MURDERED George Floyd are still walking around free tonight. They need to be ARRESTED and CHARGED!!” The family's lawyer Benjamin Crump tweeted on Friday.
