Minister Soylu attends funeral of those killed in PKK attack

Turkey's Interior Minister Süleyman Soylu attended the funeral of those who lost their lives after an explosive detonated on the road by PKK members in Kulp, Diyarbakir.

At least seven people lost their lives and 10 other people injured on Thursday evening after a trapped explosive laid under the road by the PKK was exploded.

A group of 20 people reportedly were collecting woods in rural areas of Kulp district and killed by the PKK on their turn at evening hours.

Of those who lost their lives, 4 were buried in Kulp district, Diyarbakır, 2 in Batman and one in Muş.

A ceremony was held in center Kulp district for the late Ömer Yıldız, 15, Abit Yıldız, 22, Siraç Yıldız, 26 and Ahmet Ay, 23, who killed in the blast.

Turkish Interior Minister Süleyman Soylu as well as the AK Party deputy chairman and Istanbul deputy Erkan Kandemir, AK Party Diyarbakır deputy Oya Eronat Diyarbakır governor Hasan Basri Güzeloğlu, any many people attended to the funeral ceremony.

"We know that those who go to win bread goes to worship. We believe they have martyred," Soylu said during a short speech at the funeral ceremony.
