Muhammad Ali's son detains at the airport

It is reported that Asaad Ali, son of Muhammad Ali, the legendary name of the world boxing, was detained at the airport in Florida.

Asaad Ali, who was detained in Florida airport and questioned, said Ali's family detention is linked to the controversial travel ban to the United States.

Asaad Ali (Muhammad Ali Jr.) was detained along with his mother Khalilah Camacho-Ali, at Fort Lauderdale International Airport in Florida. According to Ali's friend and lawyer Chris Mancini's explanation, Ali and his mother were stopped by American customs officials in the return of Jamaican because of their Arabic names.

It was reported that his mother Camacho-Ali, was released after showing a photo of Mohammed Ali to the authorities, but her son just because hadn’t have a similar photo, was questioned for two hours.

Ali's lawyer, Mancini, said that the officers asked the client where his name came from, and that Ali had given more detailed questions to his client after he answered "yes" to the question "Are you a Muslim?"

Mancini explained that the Ali’s family did not doubt that the detain was directly connected to the controversial travel ban of seven Muslim-majority countries executed by Trump. The family has been investigating how many passengers have been subjected to a similar interrogation so far and learned that they are preparing the case for judicial review. (ILKHA)
