Non-domestic producer price index increases by 8.93% annually in Turkey

Non-domestic producer price index increased by 1.81% monthly, by 8.93% on December of the previous year, by 8.93% on same month of the previous year and by 14.19% on the twelve months moving averages basis in December 2019.

Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat) said in a statement on Monday that non-domestic producer price index in two main sectors of industry increased by 13.41% for mining and quarrying, by 8.83% for manufacturing compared with the previous year.

According to the statement, the indices of main industrial groups; increased by 5.92% for intermediate goods, by 11.17% for durable consumer goods, by 9.63% for non-durable consumer goods, by 24.78% for energy, by 10.27% for capital goods, annually.

The only annual decrease was in computer, electronic and optical products by 0.33%

 The only rate of annual decrease in ND-PPI by subdivisions of industry was the indices for computer, electronic and optical products by 0.33%. On the other hand, the highest rates of annual increase in ND-PPI by sub divisions of industry were for coke and refined petroleum products by 24.78%, for basic pharmaceutical products and pharmaceutic prep. By 24.16%, for tobacco products by 20.43%

The only monthly decrease was in computer, electronic and optical products by 2.99%

 The only rate of monthly decrease in ND-PPI by subdivisions of industry was index for computer, electronic and optical products by 2.99%. On the other hand, the highest rates of monthly increase in ND-PPI by sub divisions of industry were machinery and equipment n.e.c. by 3.44%, for beverages by 2.64%, for furniture by 2.41%.
