Curfew on Şırnak still continuing since March 14 it has declared after the ditch politics of PKK. People as if jailed in their houses for 8 months in Şırnak where operations have finished, searching and destruction works still continues.
CSOs in Batman where have met in the Sevgi-Der building, stated that they are ready for any kind of aid for people of Şırnak. They also said that people of Şırnak live on the razor's edge for months and great victimizations have been experienced. They wanted aid to be done for Şırnak urgently where the winter is coming.
Platform of the Prophet Lovers Batman Coordinator Mullah Beşir Şimşek, said that they try the best to help people in Şırnak in within the bound of possibility and added, “Ban in Şırnak is being lifted slowly. We all know the victimization of people in there. Because of not allowance of circumstances in there, we couldn’t make enough help in there. We also couldn’t help enough those who migrated to here from persecution. Allah willing, from now on, our way to help is opening. Maybe we can’t resolve all of their problems but there are things we can do.”
Problems of Şırnak is not being aware
President of Nuh Education Association Nurettin Tatar, later then spoke about the cruelty happening in Şırnak and demanded for help.
Tatar stressed that Şırnakian are needy for any kind of aid and added, “We are in a hard process. Especially people of the region we have passed in difficult situations and that hard situation still continues. We came from Şırnak that a place where most of us not listening their problems, not aware of their problems and from aware from the distresses they are in. It is a place where curfew continues for 227 days, and happening any kind of cruelty, destruction and loot. This cruelty started from March 14, 2016.”
Tatar also said that many segments failed at the relief of victimizations in Şırnak and added, “In 227 days, we haven’t seen a serious ownage from anyone. Unfortunately a city is about to be deleted from the map completely. Official numbers says 60 percent but more are destructed, almost blowing up.”
Those who performed ditch politics, victimized people
Tatar used the following expressions, “Those who performed ditch politics are victimized people. It has been 145 days that operations have ended but the ban still continues. There are already serious problems in the region, especially in Şırnak. Education is already stopped and was being boycotted for a year.”
We witnessed cruelties that not come to mind or imagination
“Not only houses are demolishing in Şırnak but also imaginations too. A past history is destroying in Şırnak. Memories that pass from generation to generation, wares that are historic valued are being destroyed and taken from the hand of people. We witnessed that people we stealing their own wares. We witnessed cruelties that not come to mind or imagination. If people of Şırnak now try to go back to their houses, 60-70 percent will be homeless and unemployed. Because there is no any place left to work. Our downtown all has been destroyed.”
We demand aid to be done to our brothers
Umut Kervanı Aid Platform Coordinator Mahsum Ayyıldız stated that they are ready for any kind of help for Şırnakian in the scope of possibility.
