One-day break in schools due to heavy snowfall in Ankara

Announcing by Ankara governorate, schools in Ankara closed on Friday, for one day, due to heavy snowfall and frost expectation in Ankara, capital of Turkiye.

The one-day break was announced by Ankara governor Vasip Şahin through his official Twitter account.

Stating that they have declared a one-day break for schools in Ankara due to meteorological estimates, Governor Şahin added that heavy snowfall and icing are expecting until Friday noon.

"For students and citizens not to be victimized, we are given a day off for education in the city tomorrow (Friday)," he said.
