One Turkish soldier killed in eastern Turkey

One soldier was killed and two were injured because of PKK members’ attack on İranian border patrol vehicle in Çaldıran district of Van.

One Turkish soldier was killed and two were injured by a PKK members’ attack in eastern Turkey, Van governor's office said on Friday.

 PKK members opened fire on soldiers on patrol in Caldiran, in the eastern Van province, along the Iranian border, said a statement delivered by the Van Governor's Office.

The two injured soldiers were transferred to Van Yüzüncü Yıl Research Hospital by helicopter. The injured soldiers are in good condition, the statement added.
