Father Aslan stated that there is no sufficiently condition for the treatment for his son in the prison and his son’s illness getting worse day by day, said, "My son has been in custody for 17 years. The judges and prosecutors of FETO have sentenced my son to prison for 17 years. My son had cardiac surgery so far. He had angiography 2-3 times but my son is still in prison."

"My son will die in prison even he is not guilty." Father Arslan addressed to the authorities and said, "I am calling to the President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, my son is already rotten in his prison. What is the crime of my son that he is not being released? He is in prison without any crime and will die there. We now want my son to be released."

What is this oppression for 17 years?"

Arslan said that while his son had surgery, they couldn’t go to visit him because the distance from Kocaeli Kandıra Prison is too far from the place they live and added, "We drown tears every night. We want my son now to get back to his family and his children. We are his mother and father and family. We have spent feasts [Eid] without my son for years. It has been 17 years that we haven’t seen our seen next to us in eids. The FETO which did this persecution to us, didn’t do to the disbelievers."

Nuri Arslan's brother Mehmet Şakir Arslan said, "My brother has undergone heart surgery four times for 17 years. Despite of this illness he is in prison without any reason. If my brother will not be released today, when will he release. My brother is a victim FETO but despite this still being held in prison."
