Pakistan shoots down two Indian fighter jets

The Pakistani army says it has shot two Indian fighter jets inside its airspace while one jet was fallen to Pakistani territory.

The Pakistani army said two fighter jets belonging to the Indian Air Force were shot and one of them fell into the Jammu Kashmir region.

It is reported that an Indian Air Force fighter jet crashed into the area of Jammu in Kashmir.

Pakistan said it does not want to escalate tensions with India, but that it was prepared for everything if it had to.

The Indian press said two pilots were killed when the jet crashed. In addition, a civilian was killed in the site where the jet crashed. On the other hand, the Pakistan army announced that they have arrested one of the pilots from the fallen jet.

Tensions between India and Pakistan rose in February. More than 40 Indian soldiers were killed in an Indian-controlled attack in Jammu Kashmir.

India claimed that the attackers came from Pakistan, targeting Pakistan territory on Tuesday.

The statement issued by Indian officials said the attacker camp was targeted and more than 200 militants were killed.
