Palestinian prisoners set cells ablaze following brutal crackdown

A punitive war has been waging by zionist occupation state and its prison service on thousands of Palestinian prisoners since six of their compatriots on Monday managed to wrest their freedom after tunneling their way out of Gilboa prison.

According to Palestinian prisoner advocacy groups, thousands of prisoners are fighting an open confrontation with israeli jailers, who are trying to patch up their failure by taking revenge on them.

On Wednesday, zionist forces from prison units and the zionist army launched a brutal crackdown on Palestinian prisoners, especially in the prisons of Negev and Ramon.

In response, Palestinian inmates in those prisons clashed with zionist forces and set fire to a number of cells.

Fires broke out in some jails to protest attempts to relocate prisoners from Islamic Jihad in particular to other facilities, Palestinian media sources said.

The relocations were part of punitive measures taken by the zonist prison service following the jailbreak.

In this regard, the Palestinian Captive Movement in israeli jails announced a rebellion against the israeli prison service and its laws if its current repressive and punitive measures against the prisoners persisted.
