Similar clashes erupted in Ramallah when ZOF soldiers erected a military checkpoint where several vehicles were stopped and searched.
Rubber bullets and sound grenades were heavily used by Israeli troops during the events.
Also in Ramallah, violent clashes broke out in Ni'lin town shortly after being stormed by the ZOF amid heavy firing of live ammunition.
The ZOF often carries out arrest campaigns against Palestinians in the West Bank and occupied Jerusalem, claiming they targeted wanted Palestinians.
