The Turkish Medical Association, which had been involved in the propaganda of the PKK in the context of its earlier statements, criticized the operation launched against PKK/PYD in Afrin without given name.
In the statement titled as "War is a problem of public health", the following expressions were used: "As physicians, we warn. That the war is a problem of public health, which launched by human beings threatens social life, destroys nature and human beings. Every battle is a great human drama that leads to irreparable problems in terms of physical, spiritual, social and environmental health. As members of a profession committed to survival, we do not take it from our minds that defending life and having a peaceful climate is our primary task. The way to deal with the war is to establish and sustain a just, democratic, egalitarian, free and peaceful life. No to war, peace right now!"
