Prohibition in Gemlik Prison removes

BURSA - Prohibition on dress and beard in Gemlik Prison removed which brought on the agenda by ILKHA a few days ago.

It is learned that the ban of dress and growing beard in Gemlik Open Prison has been removed which it brought on the agenda by ILKHA a few days ago and took attention by public opinion.

According to the gathered information from families of prisoners, Gemlik Open Prison had application on convicts not to grow beards and not to wear large dress.

Families of prisoners stated in those time that wearing shalwar and taqiyah, growing beards are forbidden when some convicts could wear various type of hats, they have showed their reaction towards the application.

After it brought on the agenda by ILKHA and took a great attention by opinion, the ban has been removed. According to convicts’ families, the prison administration had met with convicts and expressed that the application has been removed.

Fethat Sarman and Celal Adanur, family of convicts, thanked to ILKHA journalist for the news and thanked to authorities for their responsibly act. They wished for the same application not going to happen in another prison.
