Sadr calls on his supporters to continue anti-government protests

Cleric Muqtada al-Sadr has called on Iraqis to continue the protests against corruption, unemployment, and the lack of public services in Iraq.

Sadr has urged his supporters and the public in a statement published on his Facebook on Saturday, to return to the streets on Friday, to continue the protests against corruption, unemployment, and the lack of public services in Iraq.

The protests rocked Several of Iraq’s central and southern cities, including the capital Baghdad in early October. In these protests, 108 people were dead and more than 6,000 injured.
