Sects are right but sectarianism is not right

Ali Erbaş, Director of Religious Affairs in Turkiye, met with representatives of non-governmental organizations of Muslims in the US, saying that the sects are right, but sectarianism is not right.

Diyanet President Ali Erbaş met with representatives of non-governmental organizations in New York as part of his visit to the US. Erbaş, who addressed the participants here, made a call for the unity of the Muslim communities.

"While Muslims are fighting with each other, their underground and above-ground riches are being stolen. On one side, the Jerusalem is declared as 'the capital of israel ' on the other side Muslims are tried to be moved away from Masjid al-Aqsa. We need to be awake all the time on this issue. That’s why we have to work for the spread of right and justice without being feeling tired," added Erbaş.

"Islam has been sent to not give opportunity to the people who want to break the balance of the world"

Reminding that 3.5 million Syrians escaped from their country and migrated to Turkiye, Erbaş said: "We the need to remember that again: Islamic is a religion that has been sent to not give the opportunity to the people who want to break the balance of the world."

"Sects are right but sectarianism is not right"

Erbaş pointed out that one of the most dangerous situations awaiting Muslims would be the cultivation of sectarianism, Erbaş said, "We should never give this opportunity, the sects are right, but the sectarianism is not right," he said.
