Surprise candidate from Nahda movement

The Nahda movement in Tunisia nominated Abdul Fattah Moro as its presidential candidate in the presidential election.

The Tunisian Nahda movement voted unanimously to nominate Abdul Fattah Moro as its presidential candidate at its congress meeting.

Moro was suggested as a presidential candidate by the movement's leader, Rashid Al-Gannushi.

The election date was taken from 17 November to 15 September after President Baci Kaid al-Sibsi died on 25 July.
