A meeting was held at the Ministry of Defense on the new military system under the chair of the Minister of National Defense Hulusi Akar.
According to the statement made by the website of the Defense Ministry, the command echelon discussed shortening of military service and the new military system.
"The new military system was discussed in detail, including the shortening of the military service period under the presidency of National Defense Minister Hulusi Akar," the statement read.
