Turkey issues arrest warrant for 61 ISIL-linked suspects in Ankara-based operation

Ankara public prosecutor's office released arrest warrants against 61 ISIL-linked suspects across 12 provinces on Tuesday.

Turkish police launched simultaneous operations in 12 different provinces across Turkey after the Chief Prosecutor’s Office in Ankara had issued arrest warrants for 61 suspects, who have allegedly provided financial support to the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL).

While 40 suspects have been taken into custody, security forces are still looking for the remaining fugitive suspects.

The suspects will be taken to court when their official procedures at the Police Department are completed.
