Turkey offers condolences to Egypt over train victims

Turkey extended condolences to Egypt after train accident left 32 people dead and over 160 injured.

“We have received the news with deep sorrow that at least 30 people lost their lives and many were injured in a train collision today in Sohag province, Tahta district of Egypt,” Turkey’s Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

“We wish Allah’s mercy upon those who lost their lives in the collision, swift recovery to the injured and extend our condolences to the friendly and brotherly people of Egypt as well as the families of the deceased,” the Ministry added.
